We know times are tough for students because of the pandemic, and the Student Financial Assistance office is here to assist you.
The American Rescue Plan (ARP) 2021, has allocated emergency financial aid grants for students called the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) III to assist students with exceptional need with educational costs and other emergency costs that arise due to coronavirus, such as tuition, food, housing, health care (including mental health care), or childcare.
To be eligible students must:
Students who complete the HEERF III Emergency Grant application will be reviewed within 2 weeks after the deadline has passed. Awards will be based on the student's application.
Awards will be reviewed and awarded until the funding is depleted. Due to an expected high volume of applications, we encourage students to apply prior to the deadline to be considered. The Federal HEERF III Emergency Grant is awarded on a one-time basis and is not renewable.
Due to the fluid and rapidly evolving nature of the response to the pandemic, criteria and award amounts may be adjusted overall to best meet the needs of students, and on a limited case-by-case basis as Missouri S&T seeks to assist students navigating unique hardships and demonstrating exceptional need.
